Senior Testing Engineer

As part of IME's Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead for the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on advanced photonics.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
2. Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
3. Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices
4. Manage photonics laboratory including facilities management, health and safety, equipment calibration, inventory and stocktake
5. Take on procurement duties for laboratory equipment and consumables
6. Prepare technical presentations for internal meetings

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2. Experience in optical/photonics device testing
3. Experience in experimental data acquisition and analysis
4. Critical thinking and problem solving ability
5. Strong skills in communication and providing technical presentations
6. Values teamwork and fostering a collaborative spirit
7. Skillset in programming or instrument automation is a plus
