Our client is a global B2B Media business focused on ESG and Finance reporting. The APAC team are growing and looking for a Reporter or Senior Reporter to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to provide in-depth coverage on interesting energy and infrastructure initiatives across the APAC region, along with global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver breaking news stories daily, with a strong focus on exclusives.
Write both news articles and feature stories, incorporating data from extensive resources.
Maintain frequent and high-level communication with key stakeholders such as investors, developers, bankers, lawyers, and regulators.
Participate in face-to-face and virtual meetings to strengthen your network and stay connected with market leaders.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, to produce impactful content.
Contribute to deeper insights, including case studies, and provide analysis on the latest trends within the sector.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in financial or ESG journalism, with a proven track record of reporting and writing under tight deadlines.
Exceptional written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in an additional Asian language is a plus.
Strong interviewing skills and the ability to build relationships with high-level industry contacts.
Familiarity with finance, infrastructure, or energy is advantageous but not a requirement.
Ability to handle cold calling and networking to develop a robust portfolio of industry contacts.
Organised, efficient, and comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
