Job summary

Vector Aerospace Asia is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to lead engine reliability analyses and life cycle management for the CFM56 family. You will develop data collection tools, maintain failure databases, and model reliability trends while coordinating with senior staff and customers.

The role requires strong problem-solving, programming, and database skills, with exposure to Weibull analysis and airline maintenance practices. Singapore-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or reliability engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in engine reliability, life cycle management, and analytics for the CF M56 family of engines.
• Experience with shop floor service engineering is a plus.
• Knowledge of CFM56-7 engine trends, design, repair, and repair work scope processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Familiarity with Weibull analysis and airline maintenance practices is helpful.
• Proven ability to plan and manage engineering projects related to gas turbine engine reliability.
• Programming experience in VB, VBA, C, C++, or similar languages; database experience (MS Access, SQL, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP and data systems; SA Menu is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis on engine reliability and life cycle management; review data and conduct root cause analyses.
• Design and maintain engine failure data collection and analysis tools.
• Create and maintain a Failure Analysis database; gather reliability data and analyze trends.
• Develop large and small-scale models to predict engine reliability and failures.
• Construct cost models for reliability improvement strategies.
• Liaise with senior management and customers on reliability issues and data exchange.
• Provide engineering support to service engineers collecting reliability data and determining failure modes.
• Participate in projects as team member or leader and coordinate with managers.
