What You Will Achieve

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent will maintain site-wide equipment and facilities, establishing optimization initiatives and applying Right First Time Strategy / Technique to enhance equipment and instrument reliability, in compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data integrity, and regulatory standards, cost-effectively.

Execute reliability programs for plant E/I equipment, instruments, and systems by establishing proactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance programs, conducting inspections, analyzing data, providing recommendations, and monitoring improvements.

Accountabilities include:

  • cGMP and EHS compliance
  • E&I System / Equipment / Instrument failure analysis and Root Cause Analysis
  • Equipment, instrument, and system reliability and performance
  • Team performance
  • Maintenance planning and data tracking
  • Report generation
  • Implementation, testing, and commissioning of new and obsolete E/I systems, equipment, and instruments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform maintenance and inspections on plant equipment following procedures, good engineering practices, and cGMP.
  • Develop and execute predictive maintenance programs, analyze data, and recommend corrective actions to reduce failures.
  • Review and modify maintenance programs to improve reliability.
  • Monitor equipment conditions, perform root cause failure analysis, and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Lead major repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Design feasibility inspections and testing methods to verify equipment performance.
  • Inspect reworked and newly installed equipment for acceptability.
  • Enhance system performance through design feasibility studies and improvements to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance.
  • Address performance issues via cross-functional discussions and root cause analysis.
  • Recommend system and equipment optimization initiatives and participate in new project installations and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure reliability during design and installation phases.
  • Promote ownership and training in operation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and company guidelines.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and follow manufacturer instructions.
  • Utilize maintenance databases for planning, scheduling, and decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and investigations, preparing reports for approval.
  • Support project teams during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct benchmarking to identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate operation and performance reports.
  • Participate in project design and modifications, liaising with vendors and supervisors.
  • Build good working relationships across teams and with vendors.
  • Provide training and coaching to colleagues.
  • Support safety and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Complete required training timely and contribute to team KPIs.

KPI’s include:

  • Safety incidents / lost time
  • Hardware performance / MTBF
  • Failure reporting and optimization
  • Maintenance expenses and uptime
  • Overdue critical maintenance

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Colleagues within and outside the department, including vendors and government agencies.

EDUCATION

Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, preferably.

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years (Degree) or 8-10 years (Diploma) in relevant industries.

Other requirements include knowledge of CMS, GMI, PMO, reliability maintenance, utilities operation, project management, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
