Job summary

SMRT Trains Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer focused on Maintenance Technology Integration. You will own and enhance data pipelines, build dashboards in Power BI, and translate field feedback into actionable insights for preventive, condition-based, and predictive maintenance.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers and Cloud Architects to deliver reliable data solutions, support fault diagnostics, and contribute to sustainability initiatives across the rail network.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with production pipelines ownership.
• Prior experience in maintenance, rail, asset-intensive, or other industrial operations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing data pipelines with Data Engineers and Cloud Solutions Architect.
• Creating ETL scripts to ensure high data quality.
• Enhancing predictive maintenance dashboards and defect trend insights for engineers.
• Designing simulations and what-if analyses for spares provisioning and workforce planning.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align projects with sustainability goals and compliance.
