Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support radiology services. You will greet patients at reception, assist radiographers during X-ray procedures, and accompany patients to examination areas.

You will explain procedures, ensure patient comfort before and after scans, and help with transfers from wheelchairs to x-ray couches. Rotating shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays are required.

Qualifications

• NITEC (Intermediate)/ ‘O’/’N’ Level and above.
• Equip with basic computer knowledge
• Possess empathy and care towards patients
• Responsible and a good team player
• Able to perform rotating shifts (3-rotating shifts), including nights, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet and receive patients at reception area
• Assist Radiographer in performing radiological examinations/x-ray.
• Assist Doctor and Radiographer in the examination room as chaperon
• Explain radiographic procedures to patient and take care of patients before and after X-ray scans
• Direct, accompany or assist patient on wheelchair to waiting areas/examination rooms in transfer of patient from wheelchair/trolley to x-ray couch
