Job summary

Penta Ocean Construction is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage financials on-site in Loyang/Changi. You will monitor budgets, prepare costings, and liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure value and timely payments.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Quantity Surveying and has 5+ years of M&E QS experience in construction. Experience with tendering large-scale projects is advantageous, and the role is based at the site office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure the budget is maintained.
• Liaise with team members, consultants, client, contractors, suppliers and architects to coordinate cost-related activities.
• Prepare and analyze cost comparisons and quotations.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Measure quantities and take-offs for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare Monthly Main Claim and variation orders to consultants.
• Prepare Monthly sub-contractor payment certificates, variation orders and final accounts settlement.
• Manage and report on project budget and cost control.
• Post-Contracts administration for Main Contract and Subcontracts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure the project is within the budget.
• Liaise, coordinate and have good rapport with the team members, consultants, client, contractors, suppliers and architects
• Prepare and analyze cost comparison
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
• Preparation of Monthly Main Claim and variation orders to consultant
• Preparation of Monthly sub-contractor payment certificate, variation orders, final accounts settlement
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
• Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
• Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
• Be familiar with various stages of projects to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field discipline
• Minimum 5 years and above M&E QS work experience in the Construction industry
• Experience in handing tendering large scale building project would be advantageous
