Job description

Our client is a well-established A1 main contractor in Singapore with a strong reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and building projects across both public and private sectors. Responsibilities:

• Manage and submit progress claims, variation orders, and extensions of time (EOT) to the Main Contractor in accordance with contract timelines.

• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and finalization of subcontractor agreements and accounts.

• Address and resolve contractual issues with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Oversee project cost estimation, budgeting, and ongoing cost control to ensure financial targets are met.

• Prepare cost comparisons and make procurement recommendations for senior management review.

• Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.

• Drive the preparation and submission of variation claims and EOT requests, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with contract terms.

• Compile and present detailed financial reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow analysis.

• Maintain a clear and organized record of contracts, claims, and procurement activities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders—consultants, subcontractors, and clients—on all contractual and financial matters.

• Ensure all work complies with local building regulations, contract conditions, and internal policies.

• Proactively identify and manage financial and contractual risks across project stages.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 8–10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector, preferably with an A1 main contractor in Singapore.

• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and cost control processes.

• Proficient in using quantity surveying and contract administration software.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
