A leading company in the construction sector is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to oversee all aspects of cost management for projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in engineering or quantity surveying with a minimum of 10 years in the field. Key responsibilities include preparing tenders, conducting quantity take-offs, and mentoring junior staff, ensuring compliance with ISO standards while managing financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and evaluate tenders, quotations, and cost estimates.
Conduct quantity take-offs and manage monthly progress claims.
Source and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Award subcontract works and certify their claims and variations.
Monitor project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
Advise on cost implications of design/specification changes.
Manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with ISO QMS.
Mentor junior staff and support project teams on commercial matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering or in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of tendering, contracts, cost control, and reporting.
Familiarity with ISO standards and project administration.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
