Senior Quantity Surveyor roles & responsibilities including pre/post contract duties, taking off quantities, cost control, variations, finalization of cost and tender administrative orders including compiling for tender submission.
Handling of assigned project for QS matters.
To obtain sub-contractors and supplier’s quotation for costing and do cost comparisons.
To source for existing and new vendors, compilation of quotation & competitive prices and summarizing subcontracts, materials and equipment and reporting to management team.
To prepare, manage, monitor overall project costs and budget.
To attend site meetings if necessary.
Monitoring and upgrading work head (BCA or authorities) for companies.
Weekly monitoring and updating new tender’s summary and updated information.
Regular meetings with QS team and prepare the weekly report to management.
Write contractual letters when necessary.
To manage contractual claims of time and cost.
Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent.
At least 5 years of working experience in construction (civil engineering / road works).
Knowledge in tendering processes and contracts specification and SIA.
Able to multi-task and work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
Knowledge in MS Office, AutoCAD, 3DS Max/ SketchUp or equivalent.
