A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years in civil or structural projects, oversee teams, manage costs, and ensure compliance with building regulations. This role requires communication skills in both English and Mandarin to liaise with stakeholders.
Allocate work to contractors and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.
Assess the degree of hazards and risks to ensure workplace safety is maintained.
Communicate with the management, contractors and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates to facilitate smooth transition of information.
Conduct the negotiations during the course of the project in order to ensure issues are resolved.
Control project scope to meet project objectives in order to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
Manage team of Junior Quantity Surveyors. Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies
Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law.
Oversee and ensure compliance with standards.
Preparing reports analyses, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents. Prepare cost analysis and form cost reduction strategies to ensure the overall value is enhanced for the project.
Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance to the building and construction regulations. Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
Provide advice on contractual claims so that the project scope is managed.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
Requirements:
- Min 5 years of construction Quantity Surveyor experience for civil/structural project
- Communication in English and Mandarin (In order to liaise with Chinese speaking associate)
