Job summary

Elitez Asia Việt Nam is seeking a Specialist Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management on engineering and construction projects in Singapore. The role focuses on cost control, budget reporting, and contractual administration to protect project value and compliance.

The successful candidate will work with project managers, finance and operations, ensuring stakeholders understand contractual requirements and assisting with variations, cost forecasting, and commercial issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control, or commercial administration within the engineering and construction sector.
• Strong working knowledge of engineering and construction industry practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of contract structures, cost control mechanisms, and commercial processes.

Job description

The Specialist Quantity Surveyor assists commercial management in the execution of daily commercial and contractual operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate cost and budget reporting, managing contract documentation, resolving commercial discrepancies, and ensuring both internal and external stakeholders adhere to contractual obligations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cost Control & Budget Reporting: Assist in the preparation, tracking, and management of project cost reports, budgets, and financial tracking systems.
• Contract Administration: Oversee daily contract documentation and maintain accurate administrative workflows across assigned projects.
• Commercial & Contractual Resolution: Collaborate with commercial leadership to identify, manage, and resolve contractual issues, variations, and commercial challenges.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure internal operational, financial, and administrative units, as well as external partners, clearly understand and comply with contractual requirements.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Perform additional commercial duties and special assignments as directed by commercial leadership.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS & INTERFACES

• Internal: Project Managers, Finance Managers, Operations, and Administration teams.
• External: Clients, Main Contractors, Sub-contractors, and Vendors.
