Job summary

Chishi Family Office is seeking an experienced Quantitative Researcher / Analyst to join our investment team in Singapore. You will develop quantitative models, research financial markets, and transform large datasets into actionable investment insights across the full research lifecycle.

The role involves designing backtests, building predictive signals, and collaborating with the investment team to inform portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative/technical discipline (Stats, Maths, Eng, CS, Phys, Financial Eng)
• Minimum 3 years in quantitative research/modelling or related field
• Experience developing, testing and evaluating quantitative models
• Strong foundation in statistics, econometrics, time-series analysis
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for open-ended questions
• Experience with large structured datasets: extraction, cleaning, validation
• Experience with unstructured data (text, reports, alternative data)
• Proficiency in Python and libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
• SQL knowledge for data querying
• Ability to independently conduct research from hypothesis to presentation
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical/non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research to identify statistical patterns and investment signals
• Develop, test and refine quantitative models for portfolio construction and risk management
• Research predictive signals using market, macro, and alternative data
• Design and backtest investment strategies with performance and risk analysis
• Monitor models and strategies for changes in performance and market behavior
• Analyze large datasets and transform into actionable insights
• Work with data pipelines to collect, clean, and validate datasets
• Explore new data sources and assess predictive value
• Apply statistics, econometrics and ML to market research
• Develop tools, dashboards and frameworks for portfolio monitoring
• Investigate market factors and regimes impacting performance
• Document research methodology, data sources, and results
• Present findings to Principal, Investment Director and team
• Collaborate with technology/data partners to implement ideas
