Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Quality Technician, IPM, to perform First Article and incoming material inspections in the RAQA department in Singapore. On-site role, reporting to the Principal Supplier Quality Engineer.

You will inspect materials, review certificates, document results, and manage non-conforming items, contributing to quality and supplier programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in quality inspection, incoming inspection, first article inspection, or a related manufacturing quality environment.
• Ability to use inspection and measurement equipment and interpret engineering drawings for inspection activities.
• Experience with non-conforming material control and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and receiving inspections of incoming materials and first article samples using inspection equipment and released drawings.
• Review electronic First Article documentation and material certifications to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
• Document inspection results, identify non-conforming materials, and support material segregation and re-inspection activities.
• Collaborate within RAQA to ensure compliance and support supplier quality activities.

The Senior Quality Technician, IPM is responsible for performing First Article Inspection and receiving inspection of purchased materials within the Incoming Process Management section of the RAQA department. This role helps ensure incoming materials and parts meet quality standards through dimensional measurement, visual inspection, certification review, documentation, and non-conforming material control.

This position reports to the Principal Supplier Quality Engineer and is part of the RAQA department located in Singapore, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform dimensional, visual, and receiving inspections of incoming materials and first article samples using inspection equipment and released drawings.

• Review electronic First Article documentation and material certifications to ensure compliance with specifications and documented procedures.

• Document inspection results, identify non-conforming materials, and support material segregation and re-inspection activities as required.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Minium 5 years of workingexperience in quality inspection, incoming inspection, first article inspection, or a related manufacturing quality environment.

• ITE, NTC, Nitec, Diploma in a related technical discipline, or equivalent working experience.

• Ability to use inspection and measurement equipment and interpret engineering drawings for inspection activities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience using CMM, Smart Scope, Profile Projector, or similar metrology equipment.

• Experience supporting supplier quality, incoming process management, or material certification review activities.
