Job description

Core Responsibility :

  • Oversee quality control at incoming, in-process, and outgoing to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings
  • Lead and manage Assistant Quality Engineers and QC Inspectors to ensure timely inspections and prevent shipment delay
  • Review technical drawings and define smart scope measurement methodologies for inspection
  • Maintain documentation control and calibration systems, including scheduling calibration activities, maintaining a calibration master list, and performing GR&R studies to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Develop work instructions, test procedures, and inspection requirements for new customers
  • Provide training to QC and Production inspectors to ensure competency and awareness
  • Handle customer complaints and internal quality issues, perform root cause analysis, liaise with stakeholders and suppliers, prepare 8D reports, and issue SCARs/ICARs with timely follow-up and closure
  • Lead and perform internal audits as an internal auditor in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Implement and verify closure of ICARs, SCARs, and 8D corrective actions
  • Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conforming materials and ensure timely resolution
  • Support supplier management by providing feedback on material quality and conducting supplier audits
  • Liaise with Product Development (PRDE) to support new product development by defining quality requirements and conducting early-stage material and product evaluations to establish appropriate inspection methods
  • Perform quarterly reviews of EHS legal updates to ensure compliance with current environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Prepare and submit environmental regulation declarations to customers, covering RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and other applicable standards
  • Maintain the MSDS masterlist to ensure all materials have up-to-date safety documentation and are properly tracked
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of Quality Objectives in KPIs
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior

Job Specification :

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Material Science or equivalent with at least 3-5 years experience in a Manufacturing environment working as Quality Engineer
  • Analytical, self-motivating, initiative, competent and independent, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Preferably knowledge in Six Sigma, FMEA, DOE, SPC, MSA, GR&R, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 13485
  • Proficient in MiniTab and MS Office aplications such as Excel, Words and Power Point
  • Excellent team player with good presentation, interpersonal and communication skill.
