A leading aerospace engineering company seeks an experienced engineer to manage the development and deployment of production processes. The role involves ensuring product quality through inspection planning, validation, and continuous improvement efforts. Candidates must possess a degree in engineering and at least five years of relevant experience, along with strong metrology knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Job Description
Manage end to end effort for the development and deployment of new production processes and equipment for quality responsibilities.
Develop the inspection planning, CMM and other inspection gaging requirements.
Validation of CMM/auto-inspection programs for optimization.
Identify and design inspection methods for production processes with the goal of process capability and operator feedback
Maintain and control process documentation of production processes.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop gauging and systems to support product conformance.
Troubleshooting and continuous improvement of inspection processes.
Develop paperless shopfloor documentation systems.
Assist production in the prove-out and debugging of new processes.
Follow prescribed work rules and safety standards.
Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure project success
Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material)
At least 5 years’ of relevant working experience.
Knowledge of CMM, auto-inspection method, inspection tooling and metrology technology and ANSI Y14.5 blueprint reading
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
Develop and manage a project from concept to implementation
Analyze information and solve problems quickly
Experience with metrology standards and equipment
Demonstrate high level of attention to details
