Job Summary

If you are looking for an opportunity in Quality function, then Emerson has a great opportunity for you! The Quality Engineer ensures all components delivered from a supplier follow manufacturing specifications and company standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Ensure incoming inspection activities complying to Product Quality and safety requirement.

• Drive Suppliers Continuous improvement initiatives in achieving company goals.

• Responsibility includes:

  • Provide supervision to the QA Inspectors and Technician.

• Developing and delivering training programs that teach the appropriate use of qualify tools at work.

• Train and deliver Fisher Quality requirement clearly to Suppliers.

• Align inspection / testing method requirement if necessary.

• Communicate internally (Fisher group) and externally (Suppliers) to resolve quality issues..

• Participating in reviews of product or service design to ensure that quality requirements are identified

• Ensure smooth transit when changes take place in Suppliers, eg Engineering changes or firmware changes (ECM)

• Conduct supplier performance monitoring/tracking.

• Manage supplier process validation,

• Maintain and update Supplier Approval list

• Review the supplier material non-conformance dispositions and implementing supplier corrective and preventive actions.

• Manage MRB

• ECRN review and ADR management

• Any other responsibilities as assigned by the management

You actively listen and check for understanding. You continually scan the environment for technology breakthroughs.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Min 5 years’ experience in QA/QC activities

• Good understanding on Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)

• Good understanding on ISO 9000 QMS

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to relate well with all levels of staff

• Knowledge of statistical tools and computer software (Microsoft offices)

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering
