Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance professional to monitor compliance with aviation regulations and lead internal and supplier audits. The role requires coordinating with Civil Aviation Authorities and customers to uphold quality systems across the organization.

You will review quality manuals, drive corrective actions, analyze metrics, and support risk mitigation efforts in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in aviation quality assurance.
• Knowledge of basic gas turbine engine and aviation regulatory requirements.

• Execute Quality Audit program (Internal Audits, Supplier Audits).
• Execute Quality System and Safety Management System.

• Control and administration of Capability List and Exposition/Quality Manuals.
• Conduct Quality Investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Collate Quality Metrics and analyze quality data.
• Coordinate and conduct Controlled Build process reviews.
• Drive PFMEA creation and risk mitigation.
• Review First Article Inspection and release certificates.

What You Will Do

• Monitor compliance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements
• Execute Quality Audit program (Internal Audits, Supplier Audits)
• Execution of Quality System and Safety Management System
• Coordinate External Audits by Civil Aviation Authorities and Customers
• Control and administration of Capability List
• Review and amendment of Exposition Manuals and Quality Manuals
• Conduct Quality Investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
• Collate Quality Metrics and analyze quality data
• Control and administration of Personnel Authorization System
• Conduct quality related training (Induction training, Continuation Training etc.)
• Coordinate and conduct Controlled Build process reviews
• Drive PFMEA creation and risk mitigation
• Review First Article Inspection
• Assure proper execution of all forms, tags and signing authorized release certificates
• Assure proper tagging and identification of all parts and components
• Assess sub-contractors for extension of quality system
• Assess external specialist services required to be used by the company in the performance of maintenance
  • Assess suppliers of new and used components, and materials, for satisfactory product quality
  • Senior QA Engineers are to lead and manage their respective assigned sections in alignment with the QA department’s responsibilities

Qualifications You Must Have

• Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or any related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in aviation industry in a quality assurance environment
• Knowledge of basic gas turbine engine and aviation regulatory requirement
• Competent in quality auditing and conducting training
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical skills, keen learner and strong team-player
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management
• Able to multi-task, work under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
