Job summary

Aleph Labs is seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Singapore to establish metrics, mentor team members, and manage outside resources while developing comprehensive test programs.

You will oversee testing of web and mobile applications, document results, report defects, and explore new tools and techniques to ensure quality goals are met within IT system implementation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of Web/Mobile Application testing experience, automated or manual.
• Exposure to iPhone/Android development lifecycle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test web/mobile commercial applications across multiple handsets according to standard checklists.
• Document test results and report defects clearly and comprehensively.
• Communicate and follow up defects with the software developers.

We are looking for the Senior QA Engineer who can establish metrics, mentors team members and manage outside resources, as well as develop test programs. Hence, oversee all the aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Test web/mobile commercial applications across multiple handsets adhering to carried standard checklist
• Document results of testing and report any defects in a clear and comprehensive manner
• Communicate and follow up any defects with the developer of the software
• Actively investigate interesting new tools and techniques
• To prepare test plan and test scripts, to perform internal testing, to manage User Acceptance Testing and assist in test reporting in IT system implementation projects
• To conduct business analysis and requirement study, to document requirement and functional specification, and to liaise with users and developers on requirement validations in system implementation

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Web/Mobile Application and/or Automated/Manual Software Testing
• Exposure to iPhone/Android development lifecycle will be an added advantage
• Should understand all the levels of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Should be familiar with Zephyr test cases.
• Ability to effectively interact with Manager and fellow team members
• Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver, critical thinker, and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Passion for testing mobile applications and finding bugs
• Excellent oral & writing communication skills
• High proficiency using automated test tools to conduct QA testing
• Independent with high self-discipline, strong business sense, able to communicate well, good functional and technical documentation skills
