Senior QA Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be the driver in providing direction and the implementation of the company’s quality system.
2. Review statistical data, analyze and recommend changes to production processes or quality controls to prevent future occurrences.
3. Analyze records of product returns to identify specific problems or trends over time and work with the internal team to find a long-term fix to the problems.
4. Develop and monitor continuous improvement programs, aiming to reduce the number of defects and improve quality levels.
5. Work with suppliers to help formulate quality standards to ensure that incoming components and materials comply with the manufacturer’s quality standards, minimize the time and cost of inspection, and contribute to the quality of the finished product.
6. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
7. Ensure that employees working in production are aware of quality requirements, provide training in best practices, and promote a culture of quality through awareness and award programs.
8. Have a good knowledge and understanding of quality management systems, environmental, and health standards.
9. Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
10. Maintain and prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
11. Train and motivate employees to ensure that quality standards are met.
12. Communicate effectively with all levels and departments within and outside the organization.
13. Be the company’s Management Representative on all audit and quality matters.

Management Responsibility

The Senior Quality Manager leads the Quality team. Responsibilities for this include:

1. Setting the Quality culture and strategy for Denselight, planning training strategy, direction, and priorities of the Quality team.
2. Creating an environment for the Quality team to succeed.
3. Addressing any Quality issues in an appropriate manner.
4. Team management activities including team personnel administration and training-related activities.

Key Stakeholders and Relationships

Some of the key stakeholders and relationships for this role are:

1. Top Management, to ensure that Quality initiatives are understood, communicated, approved, and endorsed before implementation.
2. Head of Departments (HOD), to ensure any risks or issues identified by assurance activities are proactively mitigated with improved processes, procedures, and ways of working.
3. Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, to validate that quality arrangements support effective project execution.
4. Human Resource, to leverage opportunities for continuous improvement, lessons learned, innovations, and knowledge to develop a robust quality approach to the programme.
5. Sales & Marketing, to ensure that the quality of technical deliverables is supported to internal and stakeholders’ standards.
6. Technical Marketing, to ensure that designs and technical information are being delivered in a manner that supports right-first-time delivery.
7. Contractor(s), to validate and verify that works are being delivered in a manner that supports right-first-time delivery and the programme realizing its strategic themes and goals.
8. Head of Information Management, to deliver an Information Management framework to the organization that is efficient and effective and meets the needs of all its stakeholders.
9. Others as necessary.

Qualification Guidelines

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in QA systems implementation and management in a medium-size manufacturing environment
