Senior QA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead and grow our testing infrastructure and manage a team of QA professionals. You will play a crucial role in defining testing strategies, ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications, and scaling our QA processes to support rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and automated test infrastructure for web and backend applications.
• Define and implement QA best practices, standards, and processes across the engineering team.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers to support ongoing product development.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure test coverage and smooth releases.
• Own the QA strategy including test planning, test execution, and defect tracking. Drive initiatives to shift testing left and integrate quality into the CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and frameworks.
• Experience in designing and implementing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in testing fintech or accounting applications.
• Exposure to cloud environments like AWS and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of performance, load, or security testing tools.
