A leading company in the contact lens sector based in Singapore seeks a Senior QA Engineer. This role focuses on ensuring quality assurance and control to meet company objectives, overseeing inspection processes, and leading laboratory teams. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, have at least three years of experience in medical technology, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in medical technology or life science.
  • Familiar with ISO13485 quality management system and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Laboratory Testing (e.g. pH, Conductivity, TOC, viscosity, HPLC) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product and process performance and provide recommendations.

Menicon is a contact lens specialist embracing precision craftsmanship to see life in detail. Join our family in Singapore, the first manufacturing facility outside Japan for daily disposable contact lens and a base for developing technologies and products with advanced, value-added features.

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who plays a key role in ensuring high-performing quality assurance and control operations to achieve the company’s quality objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operations of quality inspection and testing to achieve the company’s quality objective.

  • Ensure that inspections and laboratory practices are conducted according to cGMP, good laboratory practices and 6S.

  • Responsible to oversee the calibration process, ensuring timely calibration of test equipment and maintaining accurate calibration records.

  • Lead and develop the inspection & laboratory team members.

  • Plan and manage the Inspection and laboratory budget to manage cost and optimize utilization of resources.

  • Monitor product and process performance and diagnose problems in production and inspection/testing line. Provide recommendations and improvement plans.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in medical technology or life science.

  • Familiar with ISO13485 quality management system and regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methods

  • Analytical and strong problem skills.

  • Experience in Laboratory Testing (e.g. pH, Conductivity, TOC, viscosity, HPLC etc) will be an added advantage
