A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Test Automation Lead to own the test automation strategy for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of software testing experience, a strong focus on automation, and proficiency in Selenium and Appium. Responsibilities include developing automated test suites, coordinating testing with clients, and leading a small QA team. This role offers opportunities for leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Own and lead the test automation strategy for web and mobile applications.
Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium (web) and Appium (mobile).
Test applications deployed on Kubernetes or OpenShift, ensuring reliability, scalability and performance.
Create and manage mock servers using tools like Postman to simulate external systems and validate interface behavior.
Liaise directly with customers to plan and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Conduct user training sessions and provide post-commissioning support to ensure smooth adoption.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Work with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Lead a small QA team and promote best practices in automation and testing.
Track and manage defects using tools like Azure DevOps.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
Proven experience with Selenium for web testing and Appium for mobile testing.
Experience testing applications deployed on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Hands-on experience creating mock servers or using tools like MockServer, or Postman Mock Server.
Good understanding of CI/CD workflows and integrating automated tests.
Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or similar.
Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and user training.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes certification.
Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g.,JMeter).
Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of container security and compliance practices.
Knowledge of security testing practices (e.g., SAST/DAST, Fortify WebInspect).
