Job summary

Huxley is seeking a Senior Python Engineer (Deputy Technical Lead) in Singapore to join a high-performing commodities trading team. You will build Python-based analytics and data infrastructure used by traders and researchers on an Asian Crude desk, embedding AI-driven workflows and production-ready solutions.

You will work closely with traders, contribute to technical direction, and have a clear path toward technical leadership in a revenue-generating environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Mandarin is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build Python-based research, analytics, and data infrastructure used directly by the trading desk.
• Work alongside traders and researchers to turn ideas into production solutions.
• Leverage AI and LLM technologies to enhance research workflows and productivity.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the team, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role over time.
