Job summary

Aptitude Asia Limited seeks a Python Software Engineer for our client, a top-tier hedge fund, to design and maintain robust trading applications in Singapore. You will work with trading, research, and data teams to build analytics for a commodities trading operation based in Singapore.

Role focuses on data-driven solutions, scalable platform enhancements, and close collaboration across multi-site teams. Prior commodity exposure is a plus and strong Unix/databases knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Python; experience with multiple languages is a plus.
• 3–7 years of Software Engineering experience, with multi-site architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Unix and databases.
• Exposure to commodity markets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trading, research, and data teams to create analytics for a commodities trading operation in Singapore.
• Identify business challenges and implement technical and quantitative solutions.
• Analyze large datasets and develop trading analytics tools to enhance decision-making.
• Incorporate data insights into financial models and investment strategies.
