Job description

As Takagi Ramen continue to grow, we are looking for a hands-on and adaptable Procurement & Logistics Executive to join our team. If you’re a hands-on, data-driven, detail-oriented, adaptable, and meticulous self-motivated individual with a passion for efficiency, we want you to help maintain our high standards. This role will be pivotal in managing our supply chain and logistics operations to maintain the excellence our customers have come to expect.

Job Description

Purchasing:

  1. Obtain quotes to various vendors upon receipt of Request for Quotation.

  2. Closely follow-up and ensure timely receipt of quotations.

  3. Extensively source required products/services in the most economical way.

  4. Prepare and evaluate bid tabulation for recommendation on the best quotation option.

  5. Timely placement of orders to avoid delays in material deliverables.

  6. Monitor and expedite delivery as and when required.

  7. Data Entry for billing to related Takagi Ramen/Takagi Food/Daichi Kitchen.

Logistics:

  1. Assist to operate vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring all stock is transported to their destination on time, when required.

  2. Responsible for smooth logistics activity, warehousing transportation, and shipping by closely communicating with internal and external parties. Deliver stock from warehouse to outlets.

  3. Warehouse duties such as unloading goods from containers & arranging them.

  4. Inventory Management (Receiving, checking, ordering, and counting of stocks from suppliers), ensure warehouse is arranged in an orderly manner.

  5. Operate Pallet Jack and Pallet Stacker to keep warehouse neat and tidy.

  6. Assist Driver to unload goods to the outlets.

  7. Maintain housekeeping and safety for the warehouse area.

  8. Liaise with freight forwarder and handle import shipment documents.

  9. In charge of financial month-end & year-end physical stocks take listing.

  10. Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  1. ITE Certificate / Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or its equivalent.

  2. Min. 1 - 2 years relevant experience.

  3. Hands-on person and comfortable to roll-up sleeves to assist Driver/Warehouse in physical works where necessary.

  4. IT savvy with proficiency skills in MS Word/Excel.

  5. Strong inter-personal communication skills, ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders.

  6. Competent negotiation skills.

  7. Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
