Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement Planning:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential suppliers.
2. Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
3. Budget Management:
Develop and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.
Monitor and analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
4. Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
5. Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier reliability and market fluctuations.
Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
6. Policy Development:
Establish and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices and sustainability initiatives.
7. Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on suppliers, products, and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions.
Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed recommendations for procurement strategies.
8. Performance Measurement:
Monitor supplier performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure compliance with contracts and service levels.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and production) to align purchasing activities with organizational needs.
