Objective of the position:

The Purchaser/Senior Purchaser will be responsible for performing full purchasing functions and responsibilities, ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of direct and indirect materials and services. The role involves managing the end-to-end Source to Contract process in compliance with corporate procurement guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full purchasing functions & responsibilities, including:
  • Source to Contract: Manage the end-to-end Source to Contract process for direct and indirect materials and services, including sourcing, RFI/P/Q, vendor negotiations, bid comparison, and award recommendation.
  • Utilize systems (SAP, etc.) for approvals and order processing.
  • Coordinate logistics, including working with freight forwarders and handling import claims.
  • Engage with stakeholders across supply chain, production, quality, vendors, and freight forwarders to optimize purchases.
  • Collaborate with supply planners on stock requirements and forecasts.
  • Manage supplier relations, including vendor qualification, performance review, and compliance with company standards.
  • Support safety and quality documentation, raw material evaluations, and supplier audits.
  • Track and report on market intelligence, cost savings, and procurement statistics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other projects, including digitalization and process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5-7 years of experience in direct procurement, preferably in chemicals or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of planning, order fulfillment, import/export logistics, warehousing.
  • Understanding of the chemicals industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP Materials Management Purchasing module, Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP), and MS Office; Power BI is a plus.
