Job summary

sggovterp in Singapore is seeking a seasoned civil engineer to lead planning, design, supervision and project management of major land reclamation and port development projects.

You will manage budgets, draft technical specifications, call and award tenders, track progress and oversee a team of supervision consultants delivering construction management and contract administration for Tuas Port Phase 2.

Qualifications

• Training in civil engineering is preferred.
• Candidates have at least 8 years of experience in civil engineering design, project management or site supervision of infrastructure projects.
• Well versed in the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC) for construction works.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and team management skills.
• Registration with Professional Engineers Board Singapore is useful.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the project management and supervision of consultants undertaking construction management, contract administration and site supervisory works.
• Track work progress and manage expenditures for contracts under Tuas Terminal Phase 2.
• Attend to technical matters and project issues on the Tuas Port construction, such as caisson construction, sand key dredging, filling and rock mound, caisson backfilling, reclamation filling and soil improvement works.
• Oversee the quantitative analyses of schedule tracking of the Contractor's Programme of Works for Tuas Terminal Phase 2.
• Attend to agency matters related to the Tuas Port project.

What the role is

Tuas Port Reclamation 2 (TPR2)

You will lead in the planning, design, supervision and project management of major land reclamation and port development projects. You will be involved in project planning, budgeting, drafting technical specifications, calling and award of consultancy/construction tenders, tracking progress of projects, and managing project expenditures. You will need to manage a team of Supervision Consultants undertaking the construction management, contract administration and site supervisory works.

What you will be working on

The key responsibilities include:

• Lead in the project management and supervision of consultants undertaking the construction management, contract administration and site supervisory works
• Track work progress and manage expenditures for the contracts under Tuas Terminal Phase 2
• Attend to technical matters and project issues on the Tuas Port construction such as caisson construction, sand key dredging, filling and rock mound, caisson backfilling, reclamation filling and soil improvement works to port use requirement.
• Oversee the quantitative analyses of schedule tracking of the Contractor's Programme of Works for Tuas Terminal Phase 2.
• Attend to agency matters related to the Tuas Port project.
