Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities of Electrical Solutions projects of Marine and Ports. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.The work model for the role is: OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Marine and Ports Division of ABB, Singapore.You will be mainly accountable for:• Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.• Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods of electrical solutions engineering (knowledge of MV / LV switchgear, protection relays selection & programming using Relion Software tool or equivalent.• System engineering over generators, transformers, motors, NER, AC/DC UPS, Harmonic Filters, DC Grid system with Energy Storage System batteries.• Exhibiting design authority for engineering deliverables and provides technical support to commissioning and successful deliveries.• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.

Qualifications for the role

• Highly skilled design & engineering of Electrical System Solutions for Marine and or offshore projects.
• You have a 8 to 10 years of experience in MV & LV Switchgear, Protection Relay selection & programming using SW tool, Generators, Transformers, Motors, NER, AC/DC UPS, Harmonic filters & DC Grid solutions with ESS batteries.
• Experience in handling advanced Electrical Power system based on DC Grid, ESS , Hybrid ,Full electric based vessel is desired.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge Knowledge on Power system analysis & relay coordination using SKM / eTAP, MATLAB and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of marine systems classification society requirements for power systems is an advantage.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
