Job summary

Wood (Amec Foster Wheeler) Asia Pacific is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive multi-discipline delivery on complex projects in the refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, or pharmaceutical sectors. You will lead engineering teams, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

The role requires a degree in engineering and a minimum of 12 years of experience, with proven leadership in FEED, PMC, and EPCM environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, or pharmaceutical projects.
• Proven leadership in design and engineering teams for FEED, PMC, and EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Ability to lead and motivate multi-discipline teams.
• Familiarity with local permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive engineering interface between Wood’s engineering team and Client to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Manage timely delivery of engineering work compliant with contract requirements, including scope, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with Lead Engineers, Client, Department Management, and project stakeholders to drive engineering progress.
• Ensure engineering team adheres to confidentiality and secrecy agreements.
• Develop and implement the Package Management Strategy for the project.
• Oversee timely engineering reviews and closure of review actions.
• Coordinate local authority permitting activities and appoint Permit Coordinator to manage permitting responsibilities.
• Identify and manage all engineering interfaces throughout project delivery.
