Job summary

Johnson Controls in Singapore is seeking an on-site Project Engineer to lead BMS projects from planning to completion. You will coordinate with customers, consultants, and subcontractors while managing scope, budget, and schedules to meet KPIs and safety standards.

The role requires a degree with 3+ years in BMS projects, strong Excel/Word/Project skills, and flexibility to work odd hours when needed. Join a collaborative team focused on zero-harm safety and career development.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, budget and schedule for projects.
• Device project implementation methodology.
• Plan and oversee work schedule for multiple small to medium projects.
• Identify potential project risks and recommend resolutions.
• Establish effective communication with customer.
• Track and update progress, task and project health to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance to codes, QA/QC policies and specs.
• Perform regular quality audits for suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Manage variation orders and cost control.
• Track delivery of financial commitments per KPI.
• Prepare reports and documents; coordinate with Sales on tender bids.
• Supervise sub-contractors’ work on site.

What you will do

• Acts as on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete assigned projects.
• Delegates tasks to execute and fully complete assigned projects.
• Coordinates communication with customer during all phases of the project.
• Coordinates the work of subcontractors.

How you will do it

• Define scope, budget and schedule for projects.

• Plan and oversee work schedule for the multiple small to medium scale project under responsibility, in coordination with supervisor.
• Identify potential project risks and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Establish effective communication with customer.
• Track and update progress, task and project health to supervisors.
• Ensure and monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Perform regular quality audit for all the suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Identify and secure variation order.
• Cost control.
• Track, monitor and ensure delivery of financial commitment as per KPI.
• Managing reports and documents.
• Work closely with Sales team for tender bidding.
• Supervision of sub-contractors’ work at site.
• Schedule purchase and deliveries of all materials for the project in a timely manner.
• Able to work with drawings and submission as per project requirement.
• Assign task to, and supervise Assistant Project Engineer, Technician, if any.
• System applications, drafting, data base generation and commissioning.
• Follow‑up on payment from customers and verify payment to our suppliers.
• Train customer and provide first year maintenance warranty schedule visit.
• Hand over project to customer and later to service team.
• And other related works as assigned by your superior.
