Senior Project Engineer

An engineering consultancy firm is currently looking for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to join their organization with the following requirements:

Responsibilities

1. Focus on maximizing project efficiency and profitability.
2. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned proposals and projects as per logical sequencing; proactively monitor project critical path and initiate corrective actions as needed in consultation with the Program Manager.
3. Interact with clients, interpret their needs and requirements, and align teams internally with the expectations.
4. Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, reporting on the project's status.
5. Assist in developing fit-for-purpose design and engineering quality compliance systems including standard templates.
6. Assist the program manager, communicate with internal stakeholders, and collaborate to create more efficient fit-for-purpose project methods to maintain the project's profitability.
7. Review the engineering tasks and initiate necessary corrective actions under guidance from the Program Manager.
8. Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment.
9. Create a framework to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
10. Support consulting-type activities, proposals, FEED, and EPCM type of work scope in Oil / Gas / Energy industries.
11. Ensure the project's compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
12. Develop/Assist for project integrated project schedule using MS Project / Primavera Project Management.
13. Support project Management Change review and approvals.
14. Collaborate with cost and schedule engineer for project reports.
15. Interface with the Contracts team to ensure correct cost coding and payment request processing of contractor and vendor invoices.
16. Participate in the bid process and evaluation of contractor schedule submittals.
17. Review progress schedule and technical change orders.
18. Ensure effective project implementation, create WBS, and monitor with the use of project management system up to the closure of the project.
19. Coordinate and work with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve project issues to ensure delivery of the project.
20. Attend project meetings with external parties.
21. Assist vendor progress measurement, variation analysis, cash flow, and forecasting.
22. Assist Program Managers with forecasting cost at completion.
23. Lead project close out.

Requirements

1. Degree in Engineering.
2. Min. 10 years experience in project development and engineering, consulting, FEED/EPC preferably in the energy industry.
3. Good experience in project management.
4. Working experience in MS Office Suite products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
5. Working experience in MS Project / Primavera (P6).
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Consistently demonstrated strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, highly organized.
8. Proactive and resourceful.
9. Willing to work in the western part of Singapore.
