Job Description
Responsibilities and Authorities
Responsible for the delivery success of New Product Introduction (NPI) from development to manufacturing. Interface between R&D and Operations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain) to ensure smooth transition from development to manufacturing through creating and maintaining project schedules and tracking of actions to ensure on-schedule product launches.
Major Responsibilities
Collaborate with PMO, R&D, and Operations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain) to develop a viable project plan to support new product introduction activities and transition to mass production.
Lead / Participate in Project Core Team meetings or Extended Team meetings to plan and implement project plans. Organize project meetings and compile project status report to ensure on-schedule product launches.
Coordinate/ Support project operational readiness with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing for pilot development build, trial manufacturing build and initial mass production. Conduct readiness reviews, post build reviews and compile reports.
Lead/Support newproduct process creation,optimizeexistingprocess andimplementtechnicalbreakthrough activitiesthroughlean/SixSigma methodologytoreducemanufacturingcostsand/or enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Work with PMO and R&D to develop initial product cost estimate and monitor cost through the development phase against cost targets. Participate in cost reductions where possible.
Conduct project assessment with investment, resource and feasibility studies to help with business decisions in manufacturing strategy.
Lead project planning sessions to define project schedule, and kaizen events for issue resolution and problem solving.
Adopt PPI methodology as part of project management and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Maintain and ensure systems and procedures are in compliance to the Organization's Quality standards and Regulatory requirements.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Engineering
PMP certified (preferable)
Experiences
product transfer and operations value streaming within manufacturing
operations environment. Excellent project management, communication
and a dynamic great teammate. Ability to manage numerous projects and
interface effectively with team members (3-4 years).
lead or a key player in implementing lean/ Six Sigma projects (1-2 years).
