Job description

Responsibilities

The Physical Security department is responsible for the overall security of the company's personnel, physical assets and facilities. Based on security risks, the Physical Security team establishes and continuously improves security policies, procedures & standards, infrastructure, human and technical preventive measures, employee security awareness, alarm and incident response capabilities, etc., to safeguard the company's business operations worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Own and support global Physical Security Programs and portfolios across their full lifecycle, from strategy and design through implementation, ongoing Program management, governance, assurance and continuous improvement, developing scalable roadmaps, standards, processes and tools to enable consistent and effective operations.
  • Identify and manage Program risks and dependencies, partnering with key stakeholders to develop practical, innovative and industry-informed solutions to operational challenges.
  • Establish and maintain Program governance, assurance frameworks, performance measures and reporting mechanisms to monitor implementation, compliance, effectiveness and maturity, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and appropriate escalation.
  • Use data, incidents, feedback and assurance findings to identify trends and gaps, track corrective actions through to completion and validate their effectiveness, driving sustainable continuous improvement.
  • Lead and contribute to global, cross-functional projects, managing delivery plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and outcomes, while supporting the piloting, testing and implementation of new processes, technologies, automation and AI solutions and ensuring they are effectively embedded into operations.
  • Partner with regional security teams, site teams and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, provide subject matter expertise, represent operational needs and deliver scalable solutions that balance regional requirements with global consistency and clear ownership.
  • Develop and maintain training, competency frameworks, guidance, Program documentation, toolkits and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen operational capability, support consistent implementation and share lessons learned and good practice across the global team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s):
  • Experience within physical security, security operations, corporate security or a related operational environment, including ownership or significant responsibility for programs, projects, management-system elements or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an operational requirement or problem and translate it into a structured program, standard, process or improvement initiative, including appropriate governance, tools and measures of success.
  • Demonstrated understanding of management-system principles, including the relationship between strategy, standards, processes, governance, performance measurement, assurance, corrective action and continual improvement.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify trends and turn findings into practical recommendations, and produce clear standards, guidance and leadership updates.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across different teams, regions or levels of seniority, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working, recommend improvements, and operate with a high degree of independence as part of a global team.
Preferred Qualification(s):
  • Experience working within a global or regional corporate security function, with knowledge of guarding operations, incident management, emergency response, alarm management, operational assurance or security training.
  • Experience developing strategies, standards, procedures, governance frameworks, performance measures, vendor management approaches, service levels or key performance indicators.
  • Experience designing or improving management systems, including assurance, corrective and preventive action and continual-improvement mechanisms.
  • Experience using data, dashboards or workflow systems to improve operational performance, along with a relevant qualification in security management, risk management, project management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with recognised management-system standards and principles, such as ISO 9001 or equivalent, and experience applying structured approaches to governance, assurance, corrective action and continual improvement.
  • Formal project or program management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent is advantageous.
