Senior Production Technician (Extrusion)

Summary

Responsible for maintenance of equipment in production and provide support on process issues.

Responsibilities

1. Operate a process/equipment and conduct maintenance.
2. Set-up and adjust equipment to ensure smooth flow of production.
3. Perform daily production work, such as operating automated machines and performing production assembly works.
4. Maintain good manufacturing practices all the time and ensure zero non-conformance product.
5. Perform line clearance before starting a work and ensure:
1. the equipment/machine is qualified (e.g. within the validated maintenance/calibration date)
2. the tools are verified as per work instruction
3. all the process parameters are verified as per work instruction
4. the materials are verified as per BOM and ensure that there is no other materials in the work station
6. Ensure 5’S and cleanliness on work area.
7. Maintain proper records for production data and comply with GDP.
8. Assist manufacturing Engineers in providing technical support to production to meet the daily production goals in terms of quality, output, yield and delivery.
9. Maintain compliance of EMS, QMS, cGMP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing activities.

Requirements

1. Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering related disciplines or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of related work experience would be added an advantage.
3. Good mechanical or industrial aptitude and knowledge.
4. Work experience related to plastic extrusion or injection moulding would be added an advantage.
5. MS Office skills and computer skills.
6. Possess positive mindset and willingness to learn.
7. Ability to speak, read and write official emails for communication.
8. Able to work independently and also work well with a team.
9. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes on its documentation requirement and quality system.
