Job summary

JointHire Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a capable Production Planner to support daily operations at our Tuas facility. This role involves planning, scheduling and coordinating production activities, materials, and subcontracted work to meet customer delivery dates while maintaining quality standards.

You will liaise with Sales, Design and QA to clarify drawings and specifications, enforce safety and process improvements, and ensure efficient use of resources across the department.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in material or production planning and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in switchboard or electrical panel manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality control and QMS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in overseeing day-to-day Production Department operations and executing the production plan.
• Plan and schedule production work based on customer orders, drawings, material availability and delivery dates.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and subcontractors to optimise utilisation.
• Manage material requirements and ensure timely arrival of materials for jobs.
• Clarify drawings, specifications and quality issues with Sales, Design and QA.
• Coordinate with supervisors on rectification, rework and QA findings.
• Analyze defect and quality data and initiate corrective actions.
• Enforce safe work procedures and risk assessments for production activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and workplace organization; ensure safe conditions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment and machinery.
• Liaise with subcontractors on pricing, capacity, schedule, delivery and quality.
• Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
