Summary
This position is responsible for working with existing and prospective customers to effectively provide solutions by offering pre and post-sale customer support; product training, demonstrations, application testing and method development, particularly in the inorganic portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
- Support Sales team to achieve / exceed annual targets and growth.
- On-site application supports to customers.
- Understand market trends, requirements and competitive situation.
- Work closely with sales team to demonstrate product capabilities and applicability to the customer’s application needs throughout sales cycle- from pre-sales to getting orders as well as after-sales supports.
- Pre-Sales: Understand customers’ needs and requirement, engage in technical discussion, provide solution-oriented demos, products, and demo results presentations, propose total solution, lead the compilation of applications and marketing materials for customers/users/ sales representatives.
- After-Sales: Conduct practical training on hardware and software, product technology presentation relevant to instrumentation prior to hands on, troubleshooting, attend to users queries and support on method development.
- Support sales marketing events e.g. user meetings, workshops, seminars to update products technology, chemistry
- Support on annual sales activity based on company\'s strategic objectives to meet sales target by supporting Sales Leaders in developing new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts.
- Maintain installed base customer satisfaction
- Be the contact point of communication supporting and resolving customer enquiries and collaborate with service engineers.
- Provide leads to sales by engagement with customers.
- Involve in troubleshooting relating to instruments, application, and software.
- Develop and update knowledge of competitor’s products and discuss with sales team to promote and sell products and services.
- Provide training to overseas customers (scheduled)
- Keep track of demo lab chemical inventory, etc
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree / Master’s or PhD’s in Chemistry
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience using inorganic spectroscopy with knowledge on AA, ICP and or ICP-MSMS
- Preferable: knowledge of ICP / MS operation, theory, and various industrial applications requirement. Hands-on experience with spectroscopy products is a plus.
- Good analytical skill in data analysis
- Good problem-solving skill in chemistry
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
- Able to work in a team environment - with sales and service.
- Customer service oriented and willing to travel if needed (<25%).
