Job summary
Meta is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Product Quality, to develop and implement world-class manufacturing and quality processes for open compute hardware. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical or industrial/manufacturing engineering
- Strong SMT and PCB manufacturing knowledge
- 8+ years in enterprise hardware manufacturing
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
Responsibilities
- Own and drive SMT/PCBA manufacturing roadmap with partners
- Collaborate with ODMs/EMS to qualify new capabilities ahead of product needs
- Ensure packaging technologies are manufacturable at scale
- Lead DFx requirements early with engineering teams
- Drive failure analysis on solder joints using X-ray/CT methods
- Act as technical authority for PCB/PCBA assembly processes
