About the Role:

The Senior Procurement Specialist plays a key role in the procurement process, responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services essential for the organization's operations. The role also collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services at optimal prices. The Senior Procurement Specialist demonstrates strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and strategic thinking to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.

Sourcing and Vendor Management

  • Identify potential suppliers through market research and industry contacts.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and pricing to determine suitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Vendors capability / offering assessment.
  • Assist in Agreement and Contract Management
  • Seamless operation transactional activities management
  • Vendor performance monitoring, analysis and review
  • Actively involved in arranging vendors' training, workshops & seminars to meet internal customers' needs

Strategic Procurement Planning

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and achieve procurement goals.

Contract Management

  • Leads supplier contract negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders/ functional teams, incorporating subject matter input.
  • Review and analyse contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and initiate contract renewals or renegotiations as necessary.
  • Works closely with legal and finance departments to address contractual issues and resolve disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and procurementtransactions.

Risk Management

  • Identify and assess risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, supplier dependencies, and pricing fluctuations.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, industry trends, and market developments that may impact procurement operations.

General

  • Effective supplier management through controlled ordering, and actively resolving issues in close collaboration with functional teams.
  • Meet and exceed in country key performance indicators (KPIs) per above deliverables through cross matrices teams.
  • Effective cross functional team/ internal stakeholder engagement through working closely with Solution/Sales/Finance and Fulfilment managers.
  • Ensure operational processes comply with standards such as ISO, Global Procurement Policies & Practices.
  • Responsible for conducting and running RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s; actively leads RFQ and ensure market benchmarking is performed based on Global Procurement Policy
  • Responsible to build in country vendors database.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a procurement professional, with at least 8 to 10 years in a buyer or purchasing role, preferably in a similar industry (IT industry).
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management principles, and supply chain management concepts.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and spend analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills as all levels and across all functions.
  • Excellent data analytical, project management, negotiations, and strategy development skills.
  • Excellent business ethics and integrity in procurement policies compliance and enforcing.
  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end, including prioritizing, planning, resolving issues and display a persistent drive for results.
