Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in EPC, water treatment, environmental engineering, process engineering, industrial equipment, M&E or construction industries is needed.
• Knowledge of project procurement and contract management.
• Experience managing international suppliers (e.g., China, Taiwan).
• Mandarin proficiency is required for liaising with overseas vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the procurement department.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers locally and internationally.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual terms.
• Coordinate logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance and import/export documentation when required.
• Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
• Review engineering specifications and material requirements to ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement mitigation plans to minimise delays.
• Lead and develop the procurement team and establish KPIs.
