Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Innovation Enablement

- Identify and qualify novel suppliers and technologies for mid- to long-term innovation projects (typically 2–10 years from market launch).

- Conduct global market scouting through supplier networks, trade fairs, and digital platforms to identify emerging technologies and materials.

Sourcing Process Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure full alignment of supplier selection with the Global Category Strategy and procurement governance standards.

- Lead risk mitigation during the sourcing process through robust contract negotiation, including clauses for IP protection, supply continuity, and liability management.

- Avoid single-source dependencies by proactively identifying and qualifying alternative suppliers and technologies.

- Ensure all suppliers meet company's qualification standards (e.g., CoC, Ecovadis, ISO) or are developed to meet them.

Contracting & Negotiation

- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers, including those with strong market positions or unique technologies, to secure favorable terms.

- Draft and manage cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding, and business development contracts with a focus on long-term collaboration and business continuity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with Technology Development teams on early-stage technology scouting and feasibility assessments.

- Partner with Business Units to ensure procurement strategies align with application-specific product development and commercialization goals.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing across procurement, R&D, and product development to foster innovation and accelerate time-to-market.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

- Support patent coordination and government project declarations where applicable.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Procurement, or related field.

- 7–10 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in raw materials or chemicals.

- Strong negotiation skills, especially in high-risk or monopolistic supplier scenarios.
