We are looking for a senior engineer with experience in fire protection and utility system design within EPC projects. The role includes preparing and reviewing firewater drainage calculations, layout drawings, equipment specifications, and supporting client submissions and approvals. The incumbent will work closely with project teams and vendors to ensure the technical accuracy of deliverables, respond to client queries, and support construction and commissioning efforts.
Key Requirements:
- Background in process or mechanical engineering
- Familiarity with firewater system design, hydraulic calculations, and EPC deliverables
- Experience with HAZOP/HAZID, Fire Code compliance, and layout coordination
- Strong in client interaction, drawing review, and inter-discipline coordination
Roles & Responsibilities
- To act as the primary point of contact for tender preparation and the execution of EPC/EPCm projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- To manage manhour estimates and scheduling for fire protection systems, including the delivery of engineering work and project milestones.
- To develop and review project deliverables such as firewater drainage calculations, equipment sizing, fire protection specifications, utility layouts, P&IDs, and retention pond capacity assessments in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
- To conduct thorough reviews and verifications of design deliverables such as datasheets, drawings, and vendor documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
- To coordinate effectively with clients, Project Management Teams (PMT), multidisciplinary engineering teams, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution.
- To provide on-site support during construction and commissioning phases to address technical issues and ensure successful system integration and startup.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- At least 5–10 years of relevant experience in EPC/EPCm project.
- Experience with engineering tools such as Pipenet and hydraulic calculation software is preferred.
- Familiarity with layout planning and drainage capacity evaluation is an advantage.
- Familiar with local and international standards for fire protection.
- Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting various technical information, contract reports, and instructions.

- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities along with analytical and reasoning capabilities.
- Experience working on firewater and utility systems for process plants (e.g., chemical, petrochemical, or refinery projects) is preferred.
