Job summary

HyperLight Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a seasoned professional to define and optimize next‑generation fabrication processes for a high‑performance TFLN/SiPh platform.

You will lead hybrid integration efforts, design hybrid components, and drive process improvements across Design, Test, and Production. Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant engineering/physical science field.
• 5–10+ years in integrated photonics, semiconductors, MEMS or microelectronics fabrication.
• Experience with silicon photonics and/or TFLN is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and converge next-generation fabrication processes for higher performance standalone TFLNPIC platform.
• Define and converge next-generation fabrication processes for hybrid integration of TFLN chiplet to silicon photonics platform.
• Design passive and active components for the hybrid TFLN SiPh platform.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to meet yield targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Test Eng, Production) to drive process optimization.
• Prepare and maintain process specifications, SOPs, and reports.
• Support transfer and qualification of new products or processes into manufacturing.

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields

• Explore, define, and converge next-generation fabrication processes for hybrid integration of TFLN chiplet to silicon photonics platform.
• Passive and active component design for hybrid TFLN SiPh platform
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for process-related defects or deviations to achieve the required yield target.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Test Engineering, and Production, to drive process optimization initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including process specifications, standard operating procedures, and reports.
• Support the transfer and qualification of new products or processes into the manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields.
• 5–10+ years of experience in integrated photonics, semiconductors, MEMS, or microelectronics fabrication.
• Experience with silicon photonics and/or TFLN is strongly preferred.
• Track records by developing and optimizing new nanofabrication processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform yield analysis and statistical process control.
• Experience with RF/high-speed electronics is a plus.
• Experience with wafer-scale bonding and heterogeneous integration is a plus.
• Experience with fabrication or interfacing with foundry is a plus.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin, as required for working with our global team frequently
