Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Singapore seeks a Sr. Principal Telecommunication Engineer to lead the end-to-end telecoms engineering package for offshore oil & gas projects. You will support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all telecom activities and develop system specifications, SOWs, and BOMs.

You will prepare telecom block diagrams, validate studies, perform bid evaluations, and coordinate interfaces with clients and suppliers to meet schedule and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil & Gas, offshore preferred.
• Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards for Telecoms Systems.
• Proficient in writing Telecoms specifications.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Engineering Package.
• Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all telecom-related engineering activities.
• Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.
• Prepare Telecoms system block diagrams, sketches, and related technical documentation.
• Review and validate telecoms system studies including PAGA coverage, radio coverage, VSAT link calculations, and fibre optic link budgets.
• Prepare technical requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations for telecoms systems.
• Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight calculations.
• Liaise with clients to address engineering comments and propose technical solutions.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage system interfaces and integration.
• Ensure all telecom engineering deliverables comply with technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
