Nestled in the heart of Tengah Forest Town, the new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) will be an exciting and innovative health campus with a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and healthcare services including emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Contribute to planning of Respiratory Therapy (RT) services for Tengah General and Community Hospital, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.
  2. Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders in planning of RT services.
  3. Assess and manage patients referred for RT independently and implement appropriate treatment plans, applying specialised RT knowledge and skills.
  4. Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals and stakeholders. Collaborate in case conferences. Appropriate interdisciplinary referral where required.
  5. Document clinical assessment and treatment in electronic medical records accurately.
  6. Network strategically with healthcare practitioners in NUHS.
  7. Comply with clinical and service standards.
  8. Assist with administrative duties as tasked.

Job Requirements:

  1. Recognised degree in Respiratory Therapist.
  2. Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist or equivalent from country of origin.
  3. Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience preferred in Intensive Care Units of a hospital.
  4. Communicate and interrelate effectively in diverse contexts.
  5. Ability to recognise, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of respiratory conditions.
  6. Adaptability and ability to multi-task and manage time well.
  7. Effective problem solving, planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management.
