Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Principal/Senior Engineer in Street Design & Infrastructure Technology in Singapore. You will lead and support planning and design development of commuter and road infrastructure projects to enhance travel experience for all users.

You will conduct feasibility studies, conceptualise user-centric road schemes, and prepare tender specifications, contract management, and technical support during implementation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Project management experience with strong working knowledge of relevant local standards, codes, and authorities' requirements for transport and infrastructure projects.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Candidates with fewer years of relevant experience may be considered for a junior role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the planning and design development of commuter and road infrastructure projects to enhance travel experience for commuters, motorists, cyclists and active mobility users.
• Conduct feasibility studies and utilise design thinking to conceptualise and design user-centric road schemes.
• Prepare tender specifications, lead consultancy and contract management, and provide technical support in the project implementation stage.
• Drive exploration, evaluation and prototyping of emerging technology suitable for infrastructure development, and develop and review engineering standards and design guidelines.
• Collaborate with agencies and stakeholders to redefine travel experience through Transit Priority Corridors and road re-purposing projects, and participate in streetscape design for pedestrian-friendly streets.
