Job description

We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering space to search for an experienced Senior Principal Engineer / Principal Engineer who will lead the strategy, optimization, and management of the company's Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem. This role is critical in managing a large-scale, globally distributed user base, ensuring seamless operations to enhance productivity and collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and optimize the entire lifecycle of the Microsoft 365 environment, including services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and others.
  2. Develop and refine the M365 architecture to support organizational goals and facilitate a geographically distributed workforce.
  3. Ensure adherence to data governance policies, retention strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Manage identity and access control using Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), implementing MFA, conditional access policies, and role-based access control.
  5. Foster organizational adoption of M365 features through training programs, best practices, and continuous improvement efforts.
  6. Stay up-to-date with emerging M365 features and technologies to ensure optimal use of the platform.
  7. Manage M365 operations for a large user base, ensuring smooth and effective platform performance.
  8. Resolve complex escalations related to the M365 platform in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Collaborate with support teams to maintain consistent performance levels and ensure high user satisfaction.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing M365.
  2. Experience with Google Workspace and integrations.
  3. Proven experience managing enterprise-scale M365 environments.
  4. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting.
  5. Experience administering and troubleshooting on-premises Exchange environments.
  6. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Certifications in Microsoft Enterprise Administrator Expert, Google Cloud Professional Collaboration Engineer, ITIL Foundation, or other IT service management certifications are preferred.
