Senior Principal Consultant

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and enhance software solutions using AS/400 programming languages.
2. Lead requirements elicitation and create Application Architecture Documents (AAD).
3. Create design artifacts and review team deliverables.
4. Deliver high-quality code and support deployment and post-deployment activities.
5. Support transition activities and interface with internal teams and key stakeholders.
6. Analyze and resolve issues to ensure high-quality deliverables at each stage of the SDLC.
7. Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure application quality and reliability.
8. Maintain and enhance existing AS/400 applications by troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
9. Lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in coding, testing, and code reviews.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and software deployment activities.
11. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design and coding standards.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum 12 years of experience leading application development teams in an IBM iSeries and AS400 environment.
3. Excellent in designing and writing code using AS/400 programming languages, including RPG IV, RPG Free, CL, and DDS.
4. Strong understanding of AS/400 programming concepts.
5. Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting AS/400 applications.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
