Job summary

Munich Re US seeks an AVP & Actuary within the Chief Pricing Office to lead pricing governance, standard-setting, and risk-adjusted value creation across complex deals. You will provide independent actuarial judgment, drive framework enhancements, and partner with pricing, valuation, finance, and ERM leaders.

The role demands strong leadership, team management, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while maintaining independence in pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• FSA designation required.
• 10+ years of actuarial experience with pricing/valuation focus.
• Strong understanding of pricing concepts and profitability metrics.
• People management experience preferred.
• Experience with pricing governance/second-line oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce enterprise pricing frameworks across business lines.
• Own and evolve standard pricing assumptions reflecting market conditions and risk.
• Educate and support pricing teams on best practices.
• Embed new methodologies and governance standards into pricing processes.
• Review pricing for transactions meeting materiality/complexity thresholds.
• Support deal lifecycle decisions with pricing guidance.
• Monitor pricing performance with KPIs and analytics.
• Lead cross-functional forums to drive CPO standards adoption.
